Welcome to Yeppoon SLSC
Well, we’ve reached the pointy end of the 2016/2017 Surf Season with only 10 more Volunteer Patrols happening for this year (1 patrol left for each team with a 2nd one for a couple of the teams). If I have got my information correct, last patrol will be on the afternoon of Monday 1st May, concluding at 5pm.
The Yeppoon Surf Life Saving Club volunteer Surf Life Savers will be taking care of the beach for the next few weeks. Patrol times are Saturday 22nd April 1:00pm – 5:00pm, Sunday 23rd April 9:00am – 5:00pm, Tuesday 25th April (ANZAC Day) 9:00am – 5:00pm, Saturday 29th April 1:00pm – 5:00pm, Sunday 30th April 9:00am – 5:00pm & lucky last Monday 1st May (May Day Public Holiday) 9:00am – 5:00pm. They love a chat & are full of informations, so be sure to say G’Day.
We would like to take this opportunity to Thank all who have helped & supported us through the last couple of years. This time last year, we had only been operating out of the building again at full capacity for a couple of months following the need to re-group & re-build after TC Marcia. With the help, support & assistance of Club Members, the community, local businesses & the Livingstone Shire Council things are now going brilliantly.
As the season comes to a close, don’t forget that the Deck Bar will still be open every Friday from 4:00pm & Sunday from 1:00pm. Even though the weather is cooling off, the Deck is still a nice place to unwind at the end of the work week. Who knows, I might even be able to talk someone in to springing for a couple of outdoor heaters …. watch this space for updates 🙂

Here for You
Located in the heart of down town Yeppoon, the Yeppoon Surf Lifesaving Club can be found on the forefront of the main beach. Established in 1926, YSLSC promotes its motto of videre et facere “to see is to do”.
Keeping You Safe
Known for its safe environment the Yeppoon’s Main Beach is enjoyed by many locals and visitors to the Capricorn Coast. The popular beach is patrolled by Yeppoon SLSC volunteer lifesavers on weekends and public holidays from mid-September to May, with full time lifeguards patrolling during school holidays.
Doing Our Best
YSLSC prides itself in competing at state and national competitions in all levels of surf competition including beach and water events, boat rowing, champion lifesaver and patrol competitions. However, the main focus of the club is keeping the beach safe for the public and junior members.
For The Family
Well known as a family club, Yeppoon SLSC boasts having generations of families participating in and filling different roles within the club, including nippers, patrolling members and life members.
Come and Relax
Recent improvements to our Clubhouse have seen a new deck constructed to the eastern aspect of the existing building. This is proving very popular with both club members and the public. A Friday afternoon with a cool drink in hand enjoying the views over our shore – what a great way to unwind after a busy week. Come and join us from 4pm onward.
For All Ages
Senior members enjoy regular handicap events held on Sundays. The well coordinated nippers program incorporates both team and personal development and provides opportunity for children to compete at various levels. The program is conducted during the Surf Lifesaving patrolling season and is held each Sunday morning commencing at 9 am.
