What is Nippers?
“You get a reminder why you do it, when you get home and an excited 12 year old fills you in on all the good stuff that happened during the day.”
Text from a Nipper parent following 2017 WBC Junior Branch Carnival.
Nippers is the junior branch of the Surf Lifesaving movement. It educates U6 to U14s about many aspects of surf lifesaving and prepares them for entry into the Senior Club. Children must be at least 5 years of age on or before midnight 30th September 2016 in order to be old enough to participate in the 2016/2017 Nipper season.
Junior Activities can be a very rewarding experience for the whole family. Not only do the children learn important beach and water skills and enjoy friendships that come with belonging to a club, their parents can also gain valuable knowledge and discover personal satisfaction in participating.
- Family – $270
- Junior/Nipper – $90
It is recommended that at least one parent or legal guardian be/become a financial Yeppoon SLSC member.
